Of spaghetti, vanila coke and "Confessions of a Shopaholic"

Christmas..
Merrily we celebrate with loved ones.. Listen while joy and laughter are spread all across the air.. Filling it with so much love that it almost feels like valentines warms the heart and soothes the soul; Knowing that the year is coming to an end. Where for some, it just might be a whole new beginning..

What plans?
What's most important is that every passing second of this joyful celebration is shared and cherished with none other than your very own loved ones one..

Myself, I crossed a thousand miles the state and into the land where Cinemas, Starbucks, and Malls are highways away just to spend my Christmas; Port Dickson. On the eve itself I embarked the journey of cramped super hot KTMs and loud indian music playing busses to find myself in the car of my dear Jie, Angela. Off we went to pick up my christmas present and we swifted to Glory Beach Resort where i'll be spending the next two days there.

So on Christmas eve, there was not much we can do but to lock ourselves up in the room and counting down the time to the clock strikes 12 as Jie didnt have a car to drive us around. We, though, managed to get out for a simple supper at a nearby mamak! *food! joy!* (yes, foood-wise, i was a pretty sad boy) Anyhoos, got to see
Jie's Jie and her son! Cute little fella was playing "hide and seek" with me. Ironically he was acting like an ostrich covering his eyes thinking I wont be able to see him. Rofl! Then I went back to the hotel and spent the night with bitter coffee the only thing i wanted for Christmas. *warm*

Waking up as the sun is already up in the sky.. It was Christmas morning! To find that my wish came true and lying next to me for Christmas affirmed that Santa put me on the Good Boy list after all this year. *Bite me* So.. "What to do?"
Like i said, spending time with the one you love beats any plans. Though, we still manage to come up with something to do for the day. A cab to the Bus terminal, a busride to mere civilization! Running short on cash on your first date is not a funny thing. *seriously* However, we still manage to plan and survived through lunch, almost the wholeAvatar, our ingredients for dinner and of course the marathon back to the hotel! One thing I REALLY regretted was not making the
deal where if we were on time for the bus, then it'll be a 100%. *rawr*

Yes, it taste better than it looks.. ;)

Tell me now, what beats not having any utensils to cook but managing to prepare dinner with hot water?? Okay, I'm sure the likes of Instant noodles will surely be going through your heads. But believe it or not? Our first dinner was nontheless, our own-cooked Spaghetti Bolognese. (Need i remind that we had NO cooking utensils; not even a fork!) Dinner was, of course, awesome! Accompanied with Vanilla coke and a ketinggalan movie; Confessions of a Shopaholic.

Despite all the hoo-haas, Christmas turned out to be just the way I wanted it to be.. with You!

*rawr*

Just got back from an awesome experience of camp last night. One that will probably go down in my history books for sure! award winning speech coming up: "I would like to thank the advisors, the EXCOs, the participants, the committee and last but certainly not the least, SWEA PHIN for making it all happen!!"

It has been a long and though journey for me. But luckily, with such great Kalyana Mitras, I managed to pull through.. And hopefully, would like to see everyone learn, live, and love "YES! I M POSSIBLE!"

"no more problems, just challenges..."

holidays!

Wowzers.. This holiday has been a whirlwind for me. First time in my life so far that I'm not rotting and just sitting in front of the computer like my brother all day playing facebook applications. And no, I haven't been wasting my money or time loitering in malls and yumcha-ing. Apparently this time around, I got my hands tied up am busy planning the most awesome-st camp ever with my Kalyana Mitras (spiritual friends). It'll be happening from the 17th of Dec till the 21st of Dec. And I assure those that are attending that it's gonna rock ass socks!

hmmm.. What else have I been doing since I got the "out-of-jail" pass.. Ooooh! First thing was me and my family traveled all the way up to Terengganu for my relatives wedding. Had a blast camwhoring on the beach with my siblings and cousins. After the wedding, we head to Kota Bharu for a relaxing holiday together with my aunt and cousins at Lake Toba Pantai Sri Tujuh. We got ourselves a suite and had a BBQ dinner! Happy Happy Joy Joy.. The next day, Me and dad had to rush home cause dad had to work. It took us fuggin 10 hours to reach home! Again, i think i lost half my ass sitting in the car.. :(

The next day, got a call from dear Esther from the SAO (student affairs office) to help out in the library cuz they needed help for stock-check. I tell you, Metropolitan's library is just filled with dust and dead textbooks. We actually had to wear masks to clean that sad library. Well, 5bucks an hour for a workoutto carry a few thousand books off the shelves and put it back on again was okay after all. That was how I spent the remaining of the first week.

2nd week was pretty much filled with sports and events. You can checkout some of the pics from my facebook for the event that me and Pei Song were a part of the committee. This was where i set hands on some of the free Nivea products. *slrrrrp* Not to forget, I managed to catch up with a good friend of mine back from high school, Buttie! Like she said, we had a very nice and comforting heart to heart talk bout what we were facing and managed to comfort and hopefully find answer from each other. Cant stress how friends of mine like Buttie play a big part of my life. ;)

Well, there's another 3 weeks or so for the remaining of the holidays before I start hell college again with assignments and more shits. Hopefully will update you through blog! or you can always see what I'm doing through twitter and also facebook!

Camp in one week time. YES! I M POSSIBLE!

Heeeeeeeyaaaaah!!!

You'd better watch out, broook!

Thursday 19 November 2009

I wonder if people still do come time to time to check my blog.. (Thank you for still tuning in!)
Anyways...

It's been a rough, long, and winding journey i chose to embark.. I think i know why, and I still dont know how.. But now, hand-in-hand with people I treasure, things certainly has started to move on smoothly.. Move Along - AAR

"Are you happier now?" A very interesting way to sum up what I'm feeling at the moment.. You see, happiness (from my point of view) in this case wont and cant mean the same thing before and after the incident.. duh i was happy while it lasted, but after giving it some thoughts and some time to digest it, happiness wasn't what i could find there.. Realizing that it was all just my own hallucination.. Realization, my friends, is one big step; Accepting, is another; Overcoming, that takes a whole new level.

Moving from then, till now, it takes some just a few winks and they're here; Some took more than just a few; And some just cant seem to.. For me, I consider myself lucky for again, having these special people in life (I should give them a name), I have the chance to look at it and look at the bright side. I've drowned so many times in this situation and resurfaced with a new lesson learned.. This, is another form of happiness to me.. To know that, Hey! you know, this could be something.. This IS something.. This is IT!
=D

Friday 23 October 2009

The skill of perceiving and changing how you feel about what has happened is ultimate.
There's always two ways of looking at something that has happened. Regardless whether is was a misfortune or something to shout about.

Many a times, we tend to go trough that shity phase where everything tends to fall apart and all your shit just happen to attack you all at the same time. School, College, Uni, Work, Family, Friends, Gf, Bf, Responsibilities etc. I'm pretty sure most of us go trough that. But the way we handle it, might not be two peas in a pot. Escaping the fact isnt always the best choice. Yes, you might be feeling Cloud 9 for the time being. But as soon as it comes to haunt you again, there you are right back in square one and maybe in a deeper shithole. Well, that's as far as i think it is.

I have to thank my lucky stars that i have wonderful people around to hear me out and sometimes even tell me what to do every time I'm stuck in these shity situations. They help me CHANGE how i face/encounter those difficulties. ( I admit that i do get blocked out from my brain when I'm feeling all useless. Do you? ) Keeping it all to myself, it just tend to worsen and it just totally affects the way i start to think/speak/do at that moment. Yes people, that emo phase. It might even get worse when people around you start to judge you. Shity indeed.

I do hope everyone out there think twice before they decide on how they release/encounter/face/overcome/let go of these situations/stress/frustration.

Just a lil thought I'd like to share. Feel free to comment! ;)

On That Point, Sir...

who would've thought i'd be in a debate team representing my college?? even i wouldnt have seen it coming... With that, this is going down in my life's scrapbook...
With the 1st round of the Inti Inter-Campus Debate 2009 being only my 3rd time debating, me and the rest kinda knew we were in for a whipping! The rest inclusive of: Cerlyn, Tze Horng, Elizabeth, and supposedly Annie...
Upon arrival, i thought we were going to see some other "noob" teams like us participating in this event. BUT, seeing the other campus' teams looking so profesional-calm-collected, we were literally like lil kids.
So after the opening ceremony, it was time for all of us to get down with business... guess who were we drafted against?? Metro's 1st team!! Muneeba, Danny, Nicollette, and Marc. The motion: This house rejects the American Way of Life. Our team was the Govt. for this motion. How'd we do? Like any other practice we had back at college... Obviously they won!!

Nicollette - Muneeba - Danny - Marc

mr pay - me - cerlyn

Muneeba - Danny - Marc

newbies / noobies
After getting whipped by Muneeba and her team, it's time for the 2nd round. The motion : This house Believes academic qualifications ensure success in life. This time, we were up against the team from Inti International College Penang! They said they beat Muneeba's team last year. So.. yea.. :s But we bacame real good friends after the debate! Daryl, Aaron and.. er.. cant remember the 2nd speakers' name, and of course, Phang... An interesting individual...

For the 3rd round, we were up against the only "imported" team from Inti JAKARTA!!! They looked fierce-scary. The motion: This house Rejects that only African countries should be peacekeepers in African conflicts. Kinda blank on that motion but we still put up a fight! Cerlyn and Lizzie did great that round, whereas me, well, that was just one of my bad moments i would say. :( Right after the adjuricators said we could leave the room, the Jakarta team took off thier poker face and were the friendliest bunch of people you can find!! Didnt catch thier names though.

Nightfalls and our team knew we wouldnt make it to the semis the next day. We still stayed over at Inti though. Nice rooms i would say. Had dinner with Daryl and Aaron who were kind enough to bring us around and walk around the campus after dinner.
the peeps who went
Metro's 2nd team
Metro's 1st team

Team METROPOLITAN

Us with Annie

The fact that the 1st team not making it trough the semis really pissed us off. Unjust-Unfair-Bias. It was clearly impossible for them to NOT make it to the semis and whip those Inti asses. But, there was nothing much we could really do. We missed College Day which was happening simultaneously with the semis and Finals. Overall, i would still say i enjoyed the thing as a whole. Meeting new people, morphing and of course learning.
Metro peeps.
"point of information, sir...."

finally, an outing...

got to bkt.cahaya..

morphed..

TDC 11 - metamorphosis
Together with 15 other Kalyana Mitras of mine, we embarked a journey. A journey dated about 3 months ago. Each assigned with tasks to complete and timelines to keep up to date with, even before setting the dates and venues etc, camp, has already started for us.
"Not just TDC, but TDC 11"
Planning a camp is not an easy job. The commitment, the passion that drives me and the rest to take to make this a success. baaaaym!!
Being in a team with these 15 people, it's like lighting up another candle to brighten up my life. The amount of tummy aches i had from laughing, the amount of lame jokes i have to torture my brain with, the amount of "karuna-puff" we hear from Marilyn, I wouldnt trade anything in the world for what we've been trough. The experience nurtured and the knowledge i gained, it'll do nothing less but make me a "bigger boi".
Truthfully, this whole process, before-during-after camp, i believe i can say:
I've Morphed!!
see how the butterflies connect. ;)

GOOD LUCK SMKSU VOLLEY TEAM!!

Friday 17 April 2009

waaahh.. quite a tiring day.. longer class in college.. volleyball + basketball at night.. thursday nights i sleep the easiet! haha.. not complaing though.. :P
fairytales.. even though how bad/powerful the witches, step mums, villians etc. the fairytale will somehow, one way or another, finish with a happy ending.. "so they lived happily ever after.." .. is this something negative? in the sense that, children who watch these movies or hear and read these fairytales, a mindset that stepmums=evil!! and people will live happily ever after? or even when u sing with the animals and they'll help u with your chores..
so.. for today's speaking class, ms.tina gave us a very interesting and rather fun assignment.. we (in groups) are suppose to remake a fairytale story.. not the whole story though. just a part/scene of the fairytale.. ms.tina gave a few examples: snow white biting the poison apple; cinderella when the clock stroke 12; and many more.. k.. the catch is, to make it logical.. and..rather,what would happen in real live? for my group.. we decided to mix and match some stories.. rojak la.. we have the 3 little pigs who built thier houses and gets blown by the wolf, goldilocks? all with our own twist.. *grins* i'm not sure these stories are fairytales though.. but ms.tina accepted it.. we'll be presenting our little sketch next wednesday for speaking class.. hopefully i can get a video and show u all how we'll be doing.. *fingers crossed*
after class, i went to my ex-schl to "guide?" the juniors in thier friendly against smkSJ. haiyo.. it took me awhile to warm up today.. :P anyways, we played ok la.. plenty of room for improvements. hope they'll get better! :) good luck gals!!
came back home after volleyball--->> washed the car--> mandi-->> makan-->>
off to sunway college for the weekly volleyball/basketball with YS. :) TAL CAME!! hahaha.. didnt ffk at last.. haha! thnks for datang-ing partner.. and.. the update you gave for our newsletter.. "waaaake up alrd laaaa..." mum calls....
6 in the morning... O.O
me and dad planned to go play some golf at the club since i dont have class today.
so after getting ready and all set, kita bertolak ke destinasi! Bkt Jalil golf & country.
first time swinging on the course. fuuuish. *picturing myself playing like Tiger*
not long after that bubble burst, another one popped. just when we were about to reach...
*downpour*
it rained!!!! :S whyyy? *drizzles*
owh well... still we played.. :P
k.. golf aint as easy as how it seems to be. one wrong move and your ball goes bye bye!!
fortunately for me, my swings were still not tat bad. so all my strokes at the golf ball was god enough to keep the ball in the golf course. haha.
no deaths, no injuries, no lost golfballs... that's good enough.. right?
no doubt. practice makes perfect. so watch out tiger! jem's coming. :P
